About The Position

The Healthcare Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and clients in a healthcare facility. The position involves actively monitoring and patrolling the premises, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the area. Officers also provide customer service and information to employees and visitors. The role is based in Danbury, Connecticut, and is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, for 32 hours per week. Securitas provides training for the specific site and role and states that no experience is necessary; candidates from retail, food service, or hospitality may also be a good fit.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work Thursday through Sunday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
• Must meet all local licensing and background requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality experience is considered a good fit.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor facility premises to deter and detect security and safety issues.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general support.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations, including access control and visitor management.
• Complete clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
• Work closely with healthcare staff to support a safe and respectful environment.
• Report health and safety issues and risks in line with Securitas policies and local regulations.
• Actively monitor premises and preserve order while enforcing client-site regulations and directives.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
