The Healthcare Preparedness Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of statewide healthcare community preparedness activities by ensuring consistent engagement, collaboration, and operational readiness across the statewide healthcare coalition. This position supports the implementation of preparedness activities by working closely with hospitals, EMS, public health, and emergency management partners to maintain active participation and alignment with program requirements. This role focuses on managing ongoing program activities, facilitating communication among partners, and ensuring the execution of plans, training, and exercises that strengthen healthcare system readiness. The Healthcare Preparedness Manager monitors program performance, supports coalition development, and ensures that partners remain engaged and capable of meeting established preparedness objectives. Additionally, this position supports coordination with the State Medical Response System (SMRS) and contributes to preparedness and response activities during activations, including collaboration with the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) as needed. This position is part of the NC Office of EMS and is expected to manage up to 4 employees. Some travel and emergency management response coordination is required.
