About The Position

Cuningham is hiring a Healthcare Market Leader to build its healthcare practice in Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles region. The role focuses on developing relationships with health systems and healthcare providers, leading pursuits, and winning new work. It may be structured as a seller-doer role for a licensed architect, who also leads select projects, or as a business development role for a non-licensed candidate, who focuses on selling and partners with healthcare market leaders and project teams to transition awarded work. The position sets regional healthcare growth priorities, develops and manages the opportunity pipeline, builds client and industry relationships, monitors market conditions, and leads priority pursuits from strategy through award. The leader coordinates with office, sector, and firm leadership; represents Cuningham in the healthcare community; and contributes to business plans, marketing priorities, budgets, and CRM forecasting. The role also supports successful transitions of new work, advises clients, maintains long-term relationships, and coaches pursuit teams. Seller-doers additionally lead selected healthcare projects from planning and programming through design and construction. Success is measured by pipeline growth, new clients, revenue, repeat business, and pursuit conversion. Seller-doers are also measured on client satisfaction and project financial performance. The role has decision authority in prioritizing healthcare clients, pursuits, sponsorships, and relationships for investment. Compensation is $135,000–$215,000 annually; the stated national range varies by work location, accreditation, experience, and responsibilities, and scope is confirmed at hire and reflected in pay.
