About The Position

Expectations: To provide intern with exposure to healthcare operations, administration, and health information technology to develop key skills required for success, under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Intern will serve as a resource to department and to internal customers in the implementation of assigned projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field required.
A minimum of two years' work experience in Information Technology, healthcare or related field required.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written); able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment, assisting project team members at varying levels within the organization.
Highly self-motivated and able to readily adapt to new and diverse situations.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
Good personal organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing and using time effectively.

Nice To Haves

Masters degree (or degree in progress, with at least 1 semester of classes completed) strongly preferred.
Applicants generally must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, although exceptions may be made based on qualifications and experience.
Formal project management training strongly preferred.
