About The Position

The Decision Support Analyst develops, prepares, and interprets complex financial analyses and reports used by system management for decision making. The role performs extensive data mining and abstracts financial and clinical information from various sources. It prepares analyses supporting business-plan development, including pro forma and retrospective analyses, service-line reporting, charge-master support, revenue and reimbursement analyses, and ad hoc management reporting. The position is onsite at the Financial Services - Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; remote and hybrid schedules are not available at this time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related/relevant area, or a Master of Business Administration.
• Three years of financial analysis or public accounting experience; healthcare experience is preferred.
• Strong computer aptitude, including proficiency manipulating and analyzing large databases.
• Proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects.
• Ability to think independently and develop creative, unique solutions.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Independent judgment in making decisions among diversified alternatives, with general review only in the final stages.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Epic EHR familiarity highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex financial evaluations of new programs and ventures, assessing volume, reimbursement, payor mix, operating costs, working-capital needs, and capital requirements in accordance with GAAP and departmental procedures.
• Prepares and analyzes statistical information and conducts retrospective analyses for department managers, directors, vice presidents, and/or Administration to evaluate health-system performance.
• Writes queries to extract appropriate data from various sources.
• Synthesizes data into meaningful financial analyses to support business decisions.
• Consults and communicates with data requestors to ensure correct interpretation of results.
• Conducts financial assessments and outcomes analyses, including profitability analyses of hospital product lines, and draws appropriate conclusions.
• Prepares analyses for business-plan development, service-line reporting, charge-master support, revenue and reimbursement analyses, and ad hoc management reporting.
