About The Position

The Healthcare Facilities Manager is responsible for project planning and coordinating the day-to-day preventive maintenance, installation, repair, operational expense management, renovation, construction, courier scheduling and lease understanding. Requirements

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of management experience overseeing building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Technical Trade, or related discipline
  • Equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong understanding of: HVAC systems and operations, Commercial roofing systems, Commercial plumbing systems and repairs
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage facility-related projects from conception through completion, including capital improvements, renovations, equipment installations, space planning, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and timelines
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Oversee and supervise daily maintenance operations across all facilities
  • Monitor the quality and completion of maintenance and repair work
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to established standards
  • Assist with maintenance activities for training and operational support when needed
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive work order system
  • Prioritize, assign, and track maintenance requests
  • Communicate timelines with requestors
  • Monitor and control maintenance-related expenses and maintain accurate cost records
  • Supervise and manage facilities staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and discipline
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance
  • Approve timecards and PTO while ensuring adequate coverage for operations
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and healthcare standards
  • Conduct periodic facility inspections and report findings to leadership
  • Integrate deficiencies into preventive maintenance planning
  • Manage and oversee contracted services (e.g., custodial, laundry, security, medical equipment, inspections)
  • Ensure vendor performance meets contract requirements and service standards
  • Review and approve invoices in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Oversee facility security systems and camera operations
  • Manage access to surveillance footage for internal or legal purposes
  • Coordinate on-call alarm response scheduling and training
  • Interpret and manage lease terms and obligations
  • Maintain responsibility for facility-related documentation and approvals
  • Travel regularly to clinics and facilities within the assigned region
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
