About The Position

JLL is seeking a Director of Healthcare Facilities Compliance to serve as a Physical Environment expert, delivering specialized compliance and accreditation support services to hospitals and healthcare clients nationwide. This role focuses on providing remote and on-site expertise to support healthcare organizations through their accreditation processes in life safety and physical environment compliance. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission (JC), DNV, AAAHC, NFPA, etc. standards and codes, as well as State Department of Health regulations and other regulatory authorities. The role will primarily support a multi-site healthcare system in the Dallas, TX area, with potential for nationwide client support, requiring up to 50% travel at peak times.

Requirements

  • BS degree preferred in an Engineering Discipline.
  • 10 years of healthcare experience in Plant Operations and/or Facilities Management.
  • 10 years of experience in personnel and team management.
  • Working Knowledge of CMS and accrediting organizations such as the Joint Commission and the NFPA body of codes (i.e. NFPA 101, 99, 90A, 72, and 25).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written).
  • Customer service orientation and strong presentation skills.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Healthcare systems with multiple healthcare locations in several states.
  • CHFM and/or CHSP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, implement, and sustain the JLL Healthcare Physical Environment Accreditation Program across assigned healthcare facilities.
  • Lead comprehensive compliance program engagement for hospital clients, conducting on-site assessments of physical environments, life safety systems, and regulatory readiness.
  • Provide expert consulting services to healthcare organizations navigating Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory requirements, delivering customized solutions and remediation strategies.
  • Execute detailed facility assessments focusing on Physical Environment, Life Safety Code compliance, and physical plant readiness.
  • Develop and present comprehensive compliance reports and improvement recommendations to JLL Account Leadership and hospital leadership teams.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with hospital executives, facility directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with JLL's ATG team to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support business development activities by participating in client presentations, proposal development, and demonstrating subject matter expertise.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with comprehensive understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation, The Joint Commission Physical Environment standards, DNV Physical Environment standards, NFPA codes, FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction, and ASHRAE standards.
  • Serve as primary liaison between JLL Healthcare and client regulatory, quality, and risk management teams.
  • Provide specialized training and education services to hospital staff on regulatory requirements, compliance best practices, and preparedness strategies.
  • Maintain current expertise in applicable healthcare standards and emerging regulatory trends.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools, templates, and methodologies to support service delivery.
