About The Position

Hershey Medical Center. HMC is Central Pennsylvania’s only locally based academic medical center and has been a Magnet-designated hospital since 2007, recognized for delivering high-level, patient-focused care. The Medical Center is also the only facility in Pennsylvania accredited as a Level I trauma center for both children and adults. Requirements
- Experience leading high-volume catering or food service operations
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and motivate frontline teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and service-recovery skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and operational compliance
- Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum Management Experience - 1 year

- Healthcare or campus dining experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily catering operations within the food service department
- Serve as the primary face of the catering program to executive-level and high-profile clientele
- Ensure seamless communication between culinary production teams and front-of-house service staff
- Manage event execution to ensure timely setup and service that exceeds client expectations
- Support staffing, scheduling, and operational planning for high-volume catering functions
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Sodexo policies
- Assist with additional food service responsibilities and operational support during slower catering periods
- Contribute to a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement
