About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a Medical Call Center Rep (Scheduler) to join our team at the Patient Connection Hub located at 2525 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504. This role operates in a fast-paced call center environment, handling incoming calls promptly and making outbound calls professionally and courteously. The representative will be responsible for electronically scheduling appointments for new and established patients, collecting and inputting information into our electronic EHR with a high degree of accuracy. Additionally, they will independently resolve patient and provider questions regarding referrals, pre-authorizations/pre-certifications, and insurance verifications, and index medical records according to defined processes. A strong commitment to compassion and customer service for all patients, providers, and team members is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and with proper grammar. Strong telephone communication and etiquette skills, along with the ability to maintain composure under stress and a helpful disposition, are crucial. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to meet and maintain established metrics are vital for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Accepts incoming calls promptly and makes outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
