Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in order processing, insurance verification, and patient record maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with patients, teammates, and leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software.
  • Genuine commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving instincts and sound judgment to resolve day-to-day patient and order issues.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in healthcare, customer service, or office administration.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • One (1) or more years in healthcare operations, HME/DME, or a comparable healthcare environment.
  • Experience with Brightree or comparable healthcare management software.
  • Working knowledge of insurance verification across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and confirm patient orders via phone, email, and text, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process orders, requests, and patient information updates in Brightree.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and caregivers, resolving needs professionally and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Verify insurance coverage across all payers prior to every order fulfillment.
  • Scan, file, and maintain patient documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Keep patient and order records accurate and current in Brightree.
  • Build working knowledge of product lines to consult patients and support the sales team.
  • Assist with additional projects and initiatives as needed.
