About The Position

The Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for bed assignments for patient admissions in the assigned area and for maintaining up-to-date medical records and order entry for all patients on the unit. The role also performs clerical and receptionist duties and other patient comfort duties needed to support the flow of patient care. The coordinator is responsible for carrying out Emory Healthcare’s mission, vision, values, and quality commitment.

This is a part-time position in the Warner Robins ICU, with a night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 24 scheduled weekly hours (0.6 FTE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of clerical experience or six months of experience as an Emory Healthcare Patient Care Technician.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assign beds for admissions in the assigned area.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records and enter orders for all patients on the unit.
• Perform clerical and receptionist duties.
• Perform other patient comfort duties needed to maintain the flow of patient care.
• Carry out Emory Healthcare’s mission, vision, values, and quality commitment.
