About The Position

The Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for assigning beds for patient admissions in the assigned area, maintaining up-to-date medical records and entering orders for all patients on the unit, and performing clerical and receptionist duties. The role also performs other patient comfort duties needed to maintain the flow of patient care within the system. The coordinator is responsible for carrying out Emory Healthcare’s mission, vision, values, and quality commitment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of clerical experience or six months of experience as an Emory Healthcare Patient Care Technician.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Ability to utilize standard office equipment.
