Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - Pediatric Med Surg
About The Position
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) supports high-quality patient care, monitoring, mobility, and delivery of patient services at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network. The role performs receptionist and communications duties and serves as a focal point for communication. The HUC supports care delivery for patients from diverse ethnic and social groups, uses independent decision-making and strong interpersonal skills, and collaborates with the Clinical Director and/or RN to support optimal care and patient services. This is a 0.7 FTE position working 12-hour day shifts in Pediatric Med Surg.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or current enrollment in a clinical education program, or one year of previous patient care experience or equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting.
