About The Position

Meta designs, develops, and builds all of its own AR/VR and wearables hardware. The Strategic Sourcing team within Meta Reality Labs owns the commercial strategy and supplier relationships across all IP licensing and materials—from individual PCB components to the final consumer product—moving fast and leveraging key partnerships to drive innovation, quality, and cost savings through a customized supply chain. As a Health Tech Sourcing & Partnerships Manager, you will build and execute partner strategies for our wearable devices, enabling new health, fitness, and wellness technologies and the channel strategies that bring them to users. You will own sourcing across sensor and health technologies and development services—including commercial, operational, and technical performance—and negotiate and close hardware and IP deals spanning business models, development and licensing terms, statements of work, and commercials. Our mission is to advance the future of the Metaverse and AI through our smart glasses, mixed reality, and augmented reality devices, laying the foundation for health, fitness, and wellness experiences for years to come.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Technologies
  • 6+ years of experience with health/wellness/fitness features, technologies, and devices in the wearables space, leading end-to-end supply chain initiatives to market
  • 6+ years of experience developing sensor applications and health technology IP roadmaps and negotiating complex agreements in the sensors and IP space
  • Experience structuring and negotiating the business, technology, and legal aspects of partnership agreements
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Communication skills, with experience compiling clear and concise briefing materials

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience in the consumer electronics sector or health/medical devices, including high-volume consumer products; payer market experience a plus
  • Experience with AI-powered health technologies (predictive analytics, personalized medicine, telehealth) and knowledge of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and FDA
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • MBA or Master's in Business or Supply Chain
  • Analytical and presentation skills demonstrated through experience evaluating technical, contractual, and financial issues across technical, contractual, and financial issues, with flexibility in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proven ability building partnerships for new health/fitness/wellness experiences and devices, managing complex negotiations end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Develop the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Health Tech partnerships—off-the-shelf sensors, custom sensors, and health IP/SW—driving an integrated, long-term partner development approach for high quality, service, delivery, and cost performance
  • Partner with Health Tech, Product, Engineering, and UX to identify and develop products and technologies that deliver target experiences under competitive commercial terms
  • Negotiate and close master development, supply, and licensing agreements, statements of work, evaluation agreements, and value-added distribution and service agreements
  • Establish, manage, and own strategic supplier and partner relationships up to the executive level, and lead the Supplier QBR process against Meta KPIs
  • Serve as subject matter expert on sensor and IP cost profiles and should-cost models, and lead cost-reduction and industry-benchmarking programs to drive the lowest total cost
  • Scout new partners, influence supplier technology roadmaps, and drive Early Supplier Involvement, RFQ processes, and supplier selection with cross-functional teams
  • Formulate contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead times, single-source exposure, and supply issues while minimizing excess inventory
  • Build and own partnerships that bring AI-powered health capabilities into Meta's wearable and AR/VR devices
  • Partner with AI, Health Tech, Legal, and Privacy teams to ensure AI health partnerships comply with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and FDA regulations
