About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a remote Principal, Real World Data Sourcing & Partnerships to join their team. This full-time, exempt (salaried) position is assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. This position requires permanent authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship (including H-1B, OPT/CPT, EAD, or other temporary work authorization) is not available. The Principal, Real World Data Sourcing & Partnerships is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding strategic data sources and partnerships that support the growth and differentiation of Labcorp's Real World Data portfolio. This role collaborates closely with business, product, technical, governance, legal, and compliance partners to assess new data opportunities, manage partner relationships, and support the development of innovative data products that meet evolving customer needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 7 or more years of experience in data partnerships, alliance management, real world data, healthcare data, or life sciences; or Associate degree with 5 or more years of experience in data partnerships, alliance management, real world data, healthcare data or life sciences; or Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, or Information Systems with 3 or more years of experience in data partnerships, alliance management, real world data, healthcare data, life sciences, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting data partnerships, alliance management, vendor management, or strategic partnerships within the life sciences, healthcare, or real-world data industry.
  • 3 or more years of experience developing, negotiating, implementing, or managing third-party partnership agreements.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with data management tools, systems, or technologies.
  • Knowledge of Real World Data, Real World Evidence, and the healthcare or life sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy laws, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Master's degree in Science, Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, or Information Systems.
  • 2 or more years of experience supporting Real World Data (RWD) or Real World Evidence (RWE) initiatives.
  • 2 or more years of experience evaluating healthcare, clinical, claims, laboratory, or other healthcare-related data sources.
  • 2 or more years of experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, Privacy, or Regulatory functions.
  • 1 or more years of experience supporting process improvement, workflow optimization, or operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Global Head RWD Data strategy & technical solutions, as well as the wider RWD team, to identify and support evolving data requirements aligned to strategic ambitions.
  • Independently reviews, understand and communicates key data needs to internal LabCorp teams and potential external partners.
  • Monitor industry, regulatory, and customer trends & innovation to inform strategic adjustments regarding data needs.
  • Lead initiative to identify and evaluate potential data sources ensuring datasets are fit-for-purpose, accessible and usable to assure ROI.
  • Identify new data sources to close gaps in existing products and expand to account for emerging customer needs.
  • Work closely with Data integration, product, technical solution and commercial teams, to understand and support changing data source requirements.
  • Work with colleagues in IT (including Enterprise Architecture, Security and Data Governance) to support vendor qualification and technical assessment of data to inform evaluation.
  • Build relations with internal teams to understand existing and emerging sources of data that can be leveraged by the RWD Team.
  • Flags potential conflict of interest or larger strategic opportunities with data partners.
  • Ensure data and processes are aligned with global data governance frameworks & ethical data standards.
  • Identify and optimize use of AI tools to enhance operational models and frameworks to support scalability, efficiency, and rigor.
  • Leads and provides updates during participation in internal and external meetings with data partners.
  • Leads process improvement and tool development initiatives to support partners identification, onboarding and management.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation for all opportunities in Smartsheet, Excel and other tools.
  • Develop and prepare summary reports and dashboards for a range of stakeholders.
  • Function as key point of contact between Labcorp RWD team and data partners
  • Clearly communicate Labcorp Real-world data needs to potential partners and lead ongoing interactions with key stakeholders to ensure timeline partnership evaluation.
  • Work with Labcorp stakeholders including legal, regulatory, Compliance, and Data Governance to ensure timely development of partnerships agreement and contracting.
  • Lead onboarding of data partners and act point of contact, establishing clear channels and cadence for communication and actively building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of existing data partnerships to assess pros and cons the success of existing data partnership and recommend improvement opportunities.
