A key responsibility includes performing hemoglobin blood tests, heights, and weights for WIC clients using specific procedures and equipment, adhering to universal precautions and proper bio-medical waste disposal. The role requires maintaining knowledge of WIC Program rules and regulations, participating in quality assurance by running reports, and placing alerts in client files to improve compliance. Additionally, the position provides basic nutrition and breastfeeding information, participates in breastfeeding promotion and support activities, and community outreach. Reporting duties include submitting various reports to the supervisor and performing other related clerical and educational training duties as needed.
