Are you looking for a meaningful summer job where you can make a real difference? The YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for a motivated, caring, and safety-minded individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Summer Program Coordinator. In this role, you’ll help make camp a place where everyone can have fun and feel safe. You’ll support camp staff by checking facilities and equipment, identifying and communicating potential safety concerns, and assisting with first aid and incident response when needed. You’ll also work closely with the Health, Safety, and Child Protection (HSCP) Manager to lead safety initiatives, complete audits, and take on a special project that strengthens safety practices across our camps. This role is not only active, but also tech forward! With plans to launch e-sports modules for campers, integration of technology to streamline processes, and digital communication channels - there are plenty of opportunities to grow your digital skills in the workplace. This position is a great fit for individuals from any background or field of interest who want to develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a hands-on setting. You’ll gain valuable experience in teamwork, safety awareness, and decision-making — all while enjoying an active, community-focused summer. This is a full time contract position from June 8, 2026 to August 21, 2026.
