About The Position

Plays a pivotal role in guiding young participants with visual impairments through their summer employment, helping them develop professional skills, and ensuring a rewarding and educational work experience. This is a temporary summer position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Social Work, Human Resources) or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, or working with youth in a professional setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of job search strategies and career development

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized support and coaching to program participants
• Monitors and evaluates participants' daily work progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance
• Collaborates with employers to ensure a positive experience for both participants and businesses
• Address any issues or challenges that arise during the program and provide solutions
• Maintain accurate records of participants' progress and program activities
• Encourage and support participants in developing professional networks and connection
