About The Position

Briljent is hiring Temporary Movers for a short-term archival records relocation project starting in July. This 6-week summer job involves safely moving boxes from Point A to Point B within an indoor, climate-controlled facility. It is presented as an active role, suitable for college students looking for a summer position that is not food service or retail.

Requirements

• Ability to handle repetitive physical tasks during a full workday
• Able to lift and move boxes up to ~20 lbs
• Good attention to detail (order matters!)
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to show up consistently
• Willing to follow safety and security rules in an on-site environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with moving, warehouse work, or facilities support
• Familiarity with quiet, controlled settings like libraries or archives
• Comfortable working as part of a team and moving in sync with others

Responsibilities

• Removing boxed materials from shelving (some low, some high—stretching included!)
• Moving boxes around the facility using carts and dollies
• Keeping records in the correct order
• Placing boxes onto assigned shelving locations
• Lifting and carrying boxes safely (two hands, level carry—no hero moves)
• Helping with barcode scanning or inventory tracking when needed
• Keeping work areas neat, quiet, and obstacle-free
• Following on-site safety, security, and handling guidelines
