About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Health Information Associate to ensure record requests from patients, referring physicians, attorneys, internal departments, and others are fulfilled appropriately and patient records are accurately maintained. This is a temporary/casual PRN position working weekday day hours, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed. The pay range is $18.25–$26.39, based on direct and relevant experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Data entry experience.
• Proficiency using computer systems and typing.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical records experience.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing medical report requests daily.
• Answer telephone requests for patient files from referring physician offices and patients.
• Prepare daily duplicates and reports for delivery by courier services.
• File and organize courier lists of outgoing films and reports.
• Ship other items leaving the clinic using the preferred shipper as needed.
• Find and retrieve outside films for doctors, technologists, and research.
• Communicate with attorneys and insurance companies regarding patients.
• Communicate with patients to ensure they receive requested records.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines for release of information.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
