About The Position

At the Institute on Disabilities’ Health Equity Program in the College of Education and Human Development, the part-time Health Equity Coordinator supports a wide range of health equity initiatives with a focus on advancing disability health equity through community-engaged programs and research, particularly in the areas of accessible green space, food justice, and healthcare access. Working under the supervision of the Health Equity Project Manager, the Health Equity Coordinator collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to support the development and implementation of professional and community trainings; facilitate project-related communications, outreach, and community engagement activities; and contribute to research activities, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination, as well as other programmatic initiatives as needed. The role emphasizes coalition building and cross-sector collaboration. Knowledge of social drivers of health, familiarity with disability justice, and experience with community engagement is preferred. People with lived experience of disability are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of disability and health equity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences and platforms
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with project management including coordination of team communication and project timelines and deliverables
  • PA Child Abuse Clearances
