This is a highly responsible, full-time professional position responsible for assisting the Tobacco Prevention Specialist (TPS) in initiating and coordinating tobacco prevention and control activities at the county level that focus on: Preventing initiation among youth and college-age people, Increasing cessation programs for youth and adults, and Reducing exposure to secondhand smoke. This position requires the ability to work independently and work with youth and adults. Public speaking, coalition building, and program development skills experience is preferred. The person in this position must also have a working knowledge of computers and word-processing skills. This position requires travel and some weekend and evening hours. This is a tobacco-free position, and a background check will be required.
