About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Health and Wellness. This position is available on or after April 28th, 2026, and ending on or before May 31, 2026, with the possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Must be dependable and responsible.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently (be a self-starter).
Ability to multi-task, demonstrate sound decision making and complete assigned duties by deadlines.
Commitment to provide education and outreach relating to topics relevant to college students. (e.g. nutrition, physical activity, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, sexual and reproductive health, sexual assault and dating/relationship violence, sleep, stress, eating disorders, body image, etc.)
Role model for responsible and healthy lifestyle choices.

Nice To Haves

Prior student leadership, peer education, event planning and/or health education-related experience in helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Meet with Health Education & Promotion staff on weekly basis.
Networking and collaborating with student organizations, campus departments and community organizations.
Assist in design of marketing materials and promoting programs to campus community.
Assist in the planning and execution of various health awareness observances and campaigns on campus: “Aware, Awake, Alive,” Sexual Responsibility Week, Mental Health Awareness, National Nutrition Month, etc.
Assist with creating content for social media platform, including educational messages and graphics/images/photos.
Assist with tracking social media user traffic and evaluate effectiveness of platform.
Assist in the design and administration of program evaluations.
Other duties as assigned.
