Reporting to the Territorial Director, Population Health, the Health Promotion Specialist (Specialist) provides leadership in health and wellness promotion and supports community development. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that health promotion strategies developed through methods are consistent with current evidence-based approaches and grounded in promising practices, while also being consistent with Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit. The Specialist is vital in the support and development of health communities in Nunavut and that opportunities for partnership both within and outside government are maintained and enhanced.
