About The Position

Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) is expanding its services in Louisiana, with telehealth and in-person care planned for New Orleans. The organization is seeking a full-time Health Center Manager to collaborate with an Advanced Practice Clinician and VP of Health Service Operations to ensure high patient satisfaction and clinic productivity. This role is responsible for the overall success of the health center through effective management of personnel, budgets, and information systems. The Health Center Manager will oversee clinic operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with policies, and handle financial responsibilities including billing, collections, and daily cash handling. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and one to three years related healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a health or clinical health care settings.
  • Electronic health records (EHR) experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Reproductive Health Services Clinic, hospital or other related clinical setting, and a minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with high-volume transaction medical or clinical practice environments in which customer service and satisfaction are priorities
  • Epic EHR experience

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains and coaches all staff who deliver sexual and reproductive services.
  • Assures that staff is adequately trained according to PPFA and PPAEO guidelines.
  • Schedules staff to ensure adequate coverage in all clinic areas.
  • Performs multiple clinic functions in case of staffing shortages.
  • Monitors clinic flow and strive to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
  • Integrates front office operations with the patient service areas.
  • Works proactively to minimize patient wait time.
  • Ensures the highest level of customer service by regularly monitoring and measuring outcomes.
  • Ensures accurate completion of clinic visit records and coordinates documentation.
  • Completes monthly chart audits which must reflect action plans appropriate for findings. At least 90% compliance must be maintained. and takes corrective action if needed.
  • Responsible for the initiation and implementation of new processes and services including service delivery enhancements.
  • Assures staff and company compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations relating to family planning services.
  • Assures Risk Management and Medical Management teams are aware of potential Incident and/or Occurrence Reports.
  • Responds to patient/client concerns and take remedial action when appropriate.
  • Assesses and addresses patient complaints and provide appropriate referrals including but not limited to knowing when to escalate complaints within the organization and to whom.
  • Oversees cash handling protocol, clinic closing and deposits, ensuring accuracy for daily deposits.
  • Generates end of month reports.
  • Assures appropriate maintenance of the clinic and facility.
  • Monitors inventory of clinic supplies and medications and orders as needed.
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of teamwork and high staff morale.
  • Effectively models positive customer services and is responsive to client’s needs and concerns.
  • Analyzes monthly financial reports and statistical data along with the Vice President of Health Services to identify and implement schedule changes and other adjustments that improve patient care and to ensure productivity standards are met.
