About The Position

Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) has been providing access to sexual and reproductive health care since 1935. PPGP is expanding access to care in Louisiana, with telehealth services launching soon and in-person care returning to New Orleans. Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma (PPAEO), part of the PPGP network, is seeking a full-time Health Center Manager. This role involves collaborating with an Advanced Practice Clinician and the VP of Health Service Operations to ensure high patient satisfaction and clinic productivity. The Health Center Manager is responsible for the overall success of the center through effective management of personnel, budgets, and information systems. Key duties include managing and supervising clinic operations, ensuring compliance with policies, managing billing and collections, understanding managed care contracts, compiling financial and statistical reports, and overseeing daily reconciliation, cash handling, and bank deposits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • One to three years of related healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a health or clinical health care setting.
  • Electronic health records (EHR) experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Reproductive Health Services Clinic, hospital, or other related clinical setting.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with high-volume transaction medical or clinical practice environments where customer service and satisfaction are priorities.
  • Epic EHR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains and coaches all staff who deliver sexual and reproductive services, ensuring adequate training according to PPFA and PPAEO guidelines.
  • Schedules staff for adequate coverage and performs multiple clinic functions during staffing shortages.
  • Monitors clinic flow to maximize efficiencies and productivity, integrating front office operations with patient service areas.
  • Works proactively to minimize patient wait time and ensures the highest level of customer service by monitoring and measuring outcomes.
  • Ensures accurate completion of clinic visit records, coordinates documentation, and completes monthly chart audits with appropriate action plans (maintaining at least 90% compliance).
  • Initiates and implements new processes and services, including service delivery enhancements.
  • Ensures staff and company compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to family planning services, and informs Risk Management and Medical Management teams of potential Incident and/or Occurrence Reports.
  • Responds to patient/client concerns and takes remedial action when appropriate, assessing and addressing complaints and providing referrals, including escalating complaints when necessary.
  • Oversees cash handling protocol, clinic closing, and deposits, ensuring accuracy.
  • Generates end-of-month reports and ensures appropriate maintenance of the clinic and facility.
  • Monitors inventory of clinic supplies and medications and orders as needed.
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of teamwork and high staff morale.
  • Effectively models positive customer service and is responsive to client needs and concerns.
  • Analyzes monthly financial reports and statistical data with the Vice President of Health Services to identify and implement schedule changes and other adjustments that improve patient care and ensure productivity standards are met.
