Health And Wellness Director
About The Position
Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a full-time, onsite Health & Wellness Director in Port Charlotte, Florida. The director promotes residents’ health and well-being by assessing community wellness needs, developing wellness programs, collaborating with care teams, and maintaining high standards of health services. The role includes leading workshops, conducting health screenings, coordinating fitness activities, evaluating program effectiveness, and improving programs as needed. The director also works with families to address concerns, mentors and trains staff, and fosters an energetic, customer-centric environment focused on high performance and innovative practices.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current Florida license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- At least two years of experience in geriatric nursing and nursing administration.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and external contacts.
- Sound judgment and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of residents and the organization.
