Requirements

  • Secondary School diploma
  • 2+ years in a related Health & Safety, compliance field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage competing and conflicting priorities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable attendance and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CNESST, fleet safety, and driver compliance programs
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including Hours of Service (HOS) for approximately 60 drivers and owner operators.
  • Set up and maintain fleet and driver files
  • Manage driver onboarding, training and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and defect resolution
  • See that units reported with defects are repaired. Process invoices for payment
  • Get quotes from vendors and forward for approval
  • Set up and co-ordinate random inspections for owner operators running under Company operating authority
  • Perform daily audits of driver logs and circle checks to ensure complete and legible information is provided. File reports
  • Set up daily pre trip inspections
  • Obtain required information and ensure pre hire guidelines are met - check previous employers, driver abstract, criminal search, past Carrier Profile history, drug and alcohol testing. Arrange driving test and coordinate orientation and online training
  • Prepare conviction percentage and changes to monthly Carrier Profile reports against previous month.
  • Prepare various reports, including weekly cost report, monthly captive report, utilization report for CDI leased units, etc.
  • Manage fuel cards
