Senior Staff Engineers lead our most complex headless CMS engagements, defining reference architectures, guiding enterprise-scale delivery, and shaping NTT DATA's headless and composable practice. Their pre-sales expertise significantly enhances our ability to secure new work, and their mentorship develops the next generation of headless engineers.

Requirements

10 to 12 years of advanced enterprise experience designing and delivering digital experience solutions, with 5+ years specialized in headless CMS and composable architecture.
8+ years of experience building and leading enterprise-scale front-end applications using React, Next.js, and related JavaScript ecosystem technologies.
8+ years of experience architecting multi-source content delivery systems, API orchestration layers, and omnichannel digital experience platforms.
Must reside in the US

Nice To Haves

Deep expertise in Contentful and Contentstack, including content modeling, delivery architecture, platform APIs, extensibility, and enterprise configuration.
Contentful Professional Certification and/or Contentstack Expert Certification (or equivalent demonstrated platform mastery).
Experience designing enterprise content governance models, editorial workflow automation, and multi-tenant platform configurations.
Expertise in Contentful's App Framework, Contentstack's Automation Hub, and platform-level extensibility patterns.
Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL schema design, and edge/serverless compute (Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda@Edge).
Experience architecting headless commerce integrations (Commercetools, Shopify, SAP Commerce) within composable DXP stacks.
Expertise in web performance engineering including Core Web Vitals optimization, CDN strategy, edge caching, and rendering architecture trade-offs (SSR vs. SSG vs. ISR).
Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, including serverless patterns and containerized deployment.
Deep familiarity with CI/CD tooling including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI for headless CMS delivery pipelines.
Experience implementing SSO, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based identity and access patterns for multi-tenant CMS platforms.
Deep proficiency in Angular, including experience architecting SAP Commerce Cloud headless solutions using the Spartacus storefront framework within composable DXP stacks.
Demonstrated advocacy for AI-assisted development practices; experience establishing team standards and guardrails for tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and AI-native development workflows.
Ability to identify and cultivate potential new areas of client work within existing and new accounts.
Expert in at least one headless CMS platform and proficient in a secondary platform.
Skilled in leading executive-level client communications including discovery workshops, architecture readouts, and status reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead client discovery sessions for enterprise headless CMS engagements; challenge requirements and propose superior architecture alternatives with documented trade-offs.
Define enterprise-grade content architecture across Contentful and Contentstack, including multi-brand, multi-locale, multi-environment, and multi-channel delivery strategies.
Architect composable digital experience platforms (DXPs) integrating headless CMS with commerce, personalization, search, DAM, and analytics layers.
Establish platform engineering standards, integration patterns, and governance models for headless CMS delivery at NTT DATA.
Oversee the architecture and configuration of development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment models.
Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers, conducting architecture reviews and driving engineering excellence across multiple concurrent engagements.
Partner with client technology leaders (CTO, VP Engineering, Digital Directors) as a trusted headless and composable architecture advisor.
Define content modeling strategies, taxonomy frameworks, and API orchestration patterns suited to enterprise editorial workflows and omnichannel delivery needs.
Manage multiple projects in parallel, effectively balancing workloads to ensure the success of all engagements.
Lead the technical workstream of pre-sales engagements, including RFP responses, solution scoping, platform selection guidance, and effort estimation.
Identify and develop new service offerings and thought leadership assets (white papers, POCs, demo environments) that grow the headless CMS practice.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Contentful, Contentstack, and adjacent composable ecosystem technologies.
