About The Position

Lesley University is seeking a Head Women’s Golf Coach (Part-Time) to join their Athletics Department. Under the supervision of the Athletics Director, the Head Coach will lead the operations, management, coaching, and cultivation of a competitive and successful NCAA Division III program. The role involves fostering a positive student-athlete experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills, and contributing to departmental initiatives. The Head Coach will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating all aspects of the golf program, including overseeing and hiring Assistant Coaches. This position also involves organizing practice sessions, game-day coaching, supporting recruitment and fundraising, and overseeing the academic success of student-athletes. The Head Coach must ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, maintain appropriate conduct, and comply with all policies established by federal and state laws, Lesley University, the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), and the NCAA Division III.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and managerial skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
  • Night and weekend availability is required, with potentially overnight travel
  • Driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with collegiate golf coaching preferred
  • Previous athletics recruiting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operations, management, coaching, and cultivation of a competitive and successful Division III program

  • Organize practice sessions and game-day coaching operations
  • Support all relevant recruitment and fundraising activities
  • Oversee the academic success of student-athletes
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes the health, well-being, and overall success of student-athletes
  • Maintain appropriate conduct during practices, competitions, and team travel
  • Comply with all policies established by federal and state laws, Lesley University, North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA Division III) policies and procedures
