About The Position

Provide leadership and supervision of front-of-house usher staff to ensure a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment during VPAC events. Support seating operations, patron assistance, and overall event flow while maintaining a high level of guest service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Strong leadership and customer service skills
• Ability to read seating charts and event diagrams
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patrons
• Ability to manage large crowds and respond to issues calmly
• Knowledge of ADA accommodations and accessibility practices preferred
• Experience in guest services, event staff, or hospitality preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign usher positions for events
• Direct patrons to correct seating areas using event diagrams
• Maintain orderly and efficient seating and lobby operations
• Monitor venue access points and ensure compliance with policies
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to patrons
• Address guest concerns and escalate issues when necessary
• Communicate event information clearly and accurately
• Assist patrons with disabilities, including ADA seating and access needs
• Coordinate with ticketing and event staff for accommodations
• Assist with crowd management and emergency procedures
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors
• Support event entry, exit, and flow of guests
• Provide guidance and support to usher staff
• Ensure staff are following policies, procedures, and service standards
• Assist with training and mentoring ushers
• Support other front-of-house or event operations functions as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
