About The Position

Action Day Schools is seeking full-time Head Toddler Teachers for its Campbell, Mountain View, Saratoga, and San Jose locations. The role involves leading a toddler classroom by providing high-quality care and engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities. The Head Teacher also assists in overseeing the Toddler program and evaluating curriculum, trains and works with fellow staff members, and serves as a liaison between the Director and staff in the age group. The position may include visiting other sites to share knowledge with employees and helping plan and facilitate school- and company-wide staff in-service meetings. Compensation is $25–$29.50 per hour, depending on experience, education, and position requirements.

Requirements

Associate's degree.
Completion of 12 core ECE semester units, including the Infant/Toddler Development course; the employer says it will help candidates complete this course if they have not taken it.
Two years of experience with children.
Love and passion for working with young children.
Professional, enthusiastic, and influential role model to peers.
Excellent communication skills.
Reliable, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities and ensure high-quality care in the classroom.
Assist in overseeing the Toddler program and evaluating curriculum.
Work with and train fellow staff members.
Act as a liaison between the Director and staff within the age group.
Visit other sites as needed to share knowledge with employees at sister schools.
Assist in planning and facilitating school- and company-wide staff in-service meetings.
