About The Position

As the Head of Toy Finance, you will serve as the senior financial leader and strategic partner for Spin Master’s ~$2B global toy business. This role sits at the center of commercial strategy, partnering directly with executive leaders across Toy Creative Center, Supply Chain, and global markets to drive profitable growth, optimize operations, and enhance portfolio performance. You will lead a large, globally distributed finance organization and play a critical role on the Finance Leadership Team—shaping enterprise decisions, improving operational agility, and driving accountability across complex, matrixed structures. This is a high-impact leadership role blending commercial finance, global P&L ownership, financial planning, and long-range strategic planning.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing a large-scale P&L (~$1B+) within consumer goods or a similar industry
  • Strong track record of owning FP&A cycles (budget, forecast, long-range planning) at scale
  • Experience operating across multi-national markets, particularly North America and international regions

  • Background in consumer products, toys, or trend-driven industries is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead financial advisor to Toy Creative Center leadership (including Presidents and senior functional leaders)
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide product decisions, market expansion, and portfolio optimization
  • Advise on key operational levers including inventory health, shipping costs, and factory utilization
  • Own the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning (LRP) processes for the global toy business
  • Lead development of multi-year financial plans, aligning investment decisions with strategic priorities
  • Drive visibility into financial targets, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment across regions and functions
  • Establish planning rigor, cadence, and governance to support executive decision-making
  • Oversee financial performance across a multi-billion-dollar global business
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, identifying drivers of growth and underperformance
  • Partner with business leaders to optimize spend and reallocate resources for maximum return
  • Evaluate M&A opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
  • Assess ROI for new product launches and innovation investments
  • Support enterprise capital allocation decisions to drive long-term value creation
  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable financial plans across regions
  • Drive alignment between global headquarters and key international markets
  • Navigate cross-border complexities and promote consistency in execution
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting
  • Strengthen processes to manage high volume and complexity
  • Partner with Finance peers (e.g., Global Controller) to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Lead a global finance organization (~100 employees; ~6 direct reports)
  • Build and develop high-performing teams across regions and functions
  • Drive accountability within a matrixed, dotted-line reporting environment
