Requirements

  • Experience building the finance function at a company that scaled from Series A/B through rapid growth.
  • Proven ability to build financial functions from scratch.
  • Ability to operate at high speed, building board-ready models quickly and making decisions with imperfect information.
  • Experience acting as a strategic partner to founders and executive teams, challenging assumptions and providing clarity on decisions.
  • Willingness to toggle between high-level strategy and detailed execution, including month-end close.
  • Experience building teams and systems to scale a finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the financial model for strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including revenue forecasting, hiring plans, runway scenarios, GTM efficiency, and unit economics.
  • Establish operating discipline to scale through multiple funding rounds (Series B, C, D) and towards an IPO.
  • Partner with the executive team on budget allocation, growth investments, and strategic decisions.
  • Lead growth funding rounds (Series B+) in partnership with the CEO.
  • Own the long-range financial model, capital strategy, and investor narrative for fundraising.
  • Lead diligence, investor Q&A, and board-level financial communications.
  • Manage overall cash deposits, investments, and credit facilities.
  • Shape the financial architecture for revenue and monetization strategy, including pricing, contract structures, and deal economics, as the company transitions to enterprise sales.
  • Own revenue recognition and ensure practices are clean, defensible, and scalable.
  • Establish audit-ready financials by 2027 by building internal controls, documentation, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Manage external accountants and oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly close.
  • Own tax strategy, including filings, R&D credits, and international tax obligations.
