About The Position

Ellipsis Labs is seeking a Head of Strategy to work directly with its co-founders and alongside the existing growth team to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for Phoenix Perpetuals, a professional-grade perpetual futures product on Solana. The role owns growth strategy and execution across target user groups and channels, deploys capital into scalable, sustainable, and measurable growth strategies, and raises operational rigor throughout the go-to-market organization.

Ellipsis Labs is a profitable, venture-backed New York startup building performant DeFi protocols on high-throughput decentralized infrastructure. Its long-term mission is to build a more efficient, transparent, and fair financial system.

Requirements

• Demonstrated rigor in written and verbal communication.
• Ability and desire to pick up context in a deeply technical domain where details matter.
• Strong work ethic and high agency.
• Bias toward reasoning from first principles.
• Hands-on experience in a go-to-market function.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in systematic trading, exchanges, and crypto.
• Experience managing and measuring user acquisition and marketing budgets.
• Familiarity with perpetual futures, derivatives, and on-chain trading.

Responsibilities

• Own growth strategy and execution for Phoenix across target user types, including traders, market makers, and integrators, and across channels.
• Deploy capital into scalable, sustainable, and measurable growth strategies, including marketing and incentives.
• Raise the bar for operational rigor throughout the go-to-market organization.
