About The Position

The Head of Sales, New Accounts will lead new customer acquisition for GE holiday lighting, with an initial focus on opening national retail accounts and building profitable, sustainable new business. The primary focus is GE-branded holiday lighting, with opportunities to represent other Balsam Brands products and brands where strategically appropriate. This is a senior individual-contributor position for an experienced sales leader with strong relationships at major U.S. retailers and a demonstrated record of personally opening new accounts. The role owns new customer relationships from initial pursuit through commercial negotiation, launch, and the first complete selling and holiday-season cycle, after which established accounts transition to the ongoing account management team. The scope may expand over time to include international retail accounts. This is a remote, U.S.-based role reporting to the President of GE Holiday Lighting, with up to 40% travel within the U.S. There is a strong preference for someone in the U.S. Central or Eastern time zone. Balsam Brands is a global, omnichannel retailer rooted in holiday and home décor. Its mission is to create joy together by empowering its team and partners, providing products and experiences that inspire meaningful moments, and giving back to families and communities. The company describes its culture as people-first and welcoming, with a focus on excellence, relationship building, authenticity, and doing the right thing.
