Head of Sales

Mira Mace

About The Position

Mira Mace is hiring a founding Head of Sales to drive growth and build the company’s commercial organization alongside the CEO. The role owns revenue targets and planning, sells directly to provider organizations, and develops the sales approach and infrastructure needed to scale. The Head of Sales will initially carry the number personally, then hire and lead additional sellers as growth warrants. The position targets specialty practices, hospital health systems, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), long-term acute care hospitals (LTACs), and home health agencies. It includes turning existing referral relationships into contracted programs, building adoption into providers’ daily workflows, and shaping company strategy and product through commercial insights. Variable compensation is tied to referral volume. The company describes the role as a founding seat with meaningful early equity and competitive compensation.

Requirements

  • Experience building sales at an early-stage healthcare company and remaining through its growth; may have been the first sales hire or grown from a sales representative into an organizational leader.
  • Track record of quota-carrying, full-cycle sales to provider organizations, such as specialty practices, hospitals, health systems, SNFs, or home health organizations.
  • Personally closed meaningful sales deals within the last two years.
  • Ability to explain personal sales targets and company performance, including how results were achieved.
  • Experience driving adoption and recurring referrals, not just obtaining signed agreements.
  • Experience hiring and developing sellers who meet their targets, and judgment about when to hire versus continue selling personally.
  • Ability to build sales infrastructure, including ICP definition, pain mapping, pitch and deck narratives, stage definitions, and customer journeys.
  • Ability to sell based on provider outcomes such as rehospitalization, appointment adherence, prior authorization burden, and case manager and administrator workload.
  • Ability to withstand sharp questioning from health system leadership and investors while maintaining a clear pitch.
  • Willingness to have variable compensation tied to referral volume.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building and scaling sales at a remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, care navigation, or healthcare AI company with a usage- or volume-based revenue model.
  • Experience managing both mid-size practice and enterprise health system sales motions.
  • Experience building a partnerships or referral program that generated a meaningful share of revenue.
  • Experience working with a field liaison team and converting field relationships into contracts.
  • EHR integration experience and judgment about when integration is worth pursuing.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue targets, set the sales plan, and personally carry the number until a team is in place.
  • Lead full-cycle selling, from target lists and initial meetings to signed partnerships and live referral volume, across specialty practices, hospital health systems, SNFs, LTACs, and home health agencies.
  • Identify priority specialties and account types, map their needs, and develop pitches and target personas.
  • Convert referral relationships developed by the liaison team into contracted, top-down programs with practice owners, CEOs, or service line leaders.
  • Build sales infrastructure, including the ideal customer profile, stage definitions, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and seller compensation plans.
  • Determine when to hire additional sellers, recruit them, and coach them to meet their targets.
  • Work with case managers, discharge planners, and practice administrators to establish Mira Mace in daily workflows through the portal or EHR, with support from success and engineering teams.
  • Represent the commercial perspective in company strategy and product discussions, and work with the founder in presentations to investors and the board.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Meaningful early equity and ownership.
  • Variable compensation tied to referral volume.
  • A founding leadership role with a path to build and lead the commercial organization as it grows.
  • Support from the founder, including co-pitching, help unblocking engineering for integrations, and autonomy over the commercial function.
