Head of Sales, Builder Finance

Urrly•New York, NY
•$160,000 - $195,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Help builders get the capital to build more homes, and build the sales team that makes it happen. Urrly is hiring for an established real estate finance and technology platform with substantial institutional backing. The company connects local and regional homebuilders with capital and practical advice to help them grow in a housing market that needs more supply. This is a producing player-coach role. You will personally create and close new builder relationships, establish a practical sales playbook, and then hire and develop a small team of Account Executives. This is not a management-only seat or a role built around servicing an inherited book. You could be an entrepreneurial real estate debt originator, a hands-on sales or originations leader, or a founder/operator who has built a residential homebuilding business and understands financing from the borrower’s side. What matters is your ability to understand the builder’s business, uncover an opportunity, and turn it into a deal. Capital and credit specialists support the technical execution.

Requirements

  • Meaningful knowledge of residential construction/homebuilder finance, or real estate developer finance with a credible path to serving homebuilders.
  • A track record of personally creating and winning new business, whether in originations, advisory sales, or building your own homebuilding business.
  • Experience leading or developing people, with the ability to translate your own success into others’ performance.
  • Ability to execute in a lean environment without waiting for a large support team or a finished playbook.

Nice To Haves

  • Ground-up residential construction lending, business-purpose/private lending, or financing a regional homebuilder’s projects.
  • Specific evidence of production, business growth, quota performance, or improvements in the people you have led.
  • Experience building a market, origination function, or sales team from an early stage.

Responsibilities

  • Create new builder business through targeted outreach, referrals, industry relationships, and other channels you can make repeatable.
  • Diagnose the builder’s project pipeline, financing constraints, and growth plans before recommending a solution.
  • Own the commercial relationship from first conversation through negotiation and close, working with capital and credit partners.
  • Carry personal production responsibility while establishing the targeting, discovery, follow-up, and forecasting playbook.
  • Hire, coach, and develop sellers as the business grows; stay close to their conversations and results.

Benefits

  • Equity participation, subject to the final offer and grant terms.
