Head of Finance

Ether.fi•Denver, CO
•Onsite

About The Position

ether.fi is a leading DeFi protocol on Ethereum, known for its liquid staking token weETH and its expansion into Liquid vaults and the ether.fi Cash Visa card. The protocol is supported by a group of operating companies in various international locations, including a regulated investment manager and a licensed VASP. The company is actively expanding into new markets and launching regulated products, with finance playing a crucial role in this growth. This role is for a Head of Finance to manage the entire finance function, reporting to the CFO. The responsibilities include month-end close, audits, budgeting, tax, treasury operations, fund NAV, payments, and payroll. The position requires a hands-on approach, as the team is small, with one accountant reporting to the Head of Finance, and the ability to hire more as the team grows. Collaboration with legal, compliance, operations, and product teams across different time zones is expected.

  • Manage revenue recognition for protocol fees, vault fees, card interchange, and treasury income.
  • Lead statutory audits for all entities.
  • Own the annual budget process and monthly budget vs. actuals analysis, ensuring all material assumptions are documented and defensible.
