About The Position

We are a rapidly growing, Boston-based medical technology company using AI to enable clinicians to make informed decisions on cardiovascular care - leading to better patient outcomes, improved quality of care, and reduced healthcare costs. As our Head of Finance, you'll lead a finance function stepping into its next chapter: commercialization. This is a player-coach role for a seasoned finance leader who is just as comfortable in the numbers as they are building and developing strategy. You'll bring strong FP&A chops, sharp attention to detail and the judgment to flex across accounting, revenue operations, payroll and benefits, audit, and risk management, as well as partner closely with our leadership on the financial strategy that enables us to get our innovative technology into the hands of clinicians and patients worldwide.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Ideally in a venture-backed healthcare, medical device, or SaaS company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success operating as a player-coach: setting financial strategy and building a team while staying hands-on.
  • Must-have expertise in FP&A, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Track record of preparing and presenting financial materials for a Board of Directors, Audit Committee, or investors to support fundraising, financing decisions, and scenario modeling.
  • Deep, hands-on experience across core accounting functions (month-end close, revenue recognition, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations) with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing payroll (including multi-state compliance) and benefits administration, such as 401(k) plans and benefits reconciliation.
  • Experience overseeing insurance and risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for diverse stakeholders and contribute to strategic, cross-functional discussions.
