Head of Product

NorthbeamSan Francisco, CA
$300,000 - $350,000Hybrid

About The Position

Northbeam is seeking a senior product leader to partner directly with the Chief Product & Design Officer and CEO to shape the future of the company. This role is one of the most senior product positions, responsible for owning the company roadmap, leading key product initiatives from conception to execution, and managing a team of senior product managers. The role emphasizes a 'player-coach' approach, with a strong focus on hands-on execution, driving major projects, and generating momentum in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a customer-first, design-led individual who believes in the coexistence of craft, customer empathy, and speed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, with senior leadership experience at a B2B SaaS company, operating at Director level or above and managing senior PMs.
  • Experience working in marketing measurement, attribution, adtech or martech. Experience within eCommerce is acceptable if the candidate understands marketing attribution (MTA, MMM, incrementality, pixel and server-side tracking, platform APIs, privacy constraints) and can engage with data scientists and performance marketers.
  • A track record on data-heavy products, having shipped products built on large-scale data pipelines, analytics, or ML models, and comfort with product decisions involving statistical nuance and data quality tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated experience building with AI, having shipped AI-powered product capabilities (LLM features, agents, ML-driven workflows) and possessing a strong, practical point of view on where AI creates durable value.
  • A driver's mentality: defaults to action, pushes relentlessly toward solutions, thrives in a fast-paced environment where the roadmap moves quickly, and is energized by ambiguity.
  • A hands-on builder who prefers to write the doc, run the customer call, and dig into data personally.
  • A first-principles problem solver who breaks down hard problems, forms hypotheses, and tests to find answers.
  • Customer obsession, building conviction from direct customer contact and enjoying working directly with clients.
  • Experience partnering closely with design, working shoulder-to-shoulder with designers and design leadership.
  • BS degree required; an engineering, computer science, or data science background is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an analytics company
  • Experience working in or selling to ecommerce / DTC and performance marketing teams

Responsibilities

  • Own the company roadmap, synthesizing customer needs, market dynamics, data science capabilities, and company strategy into a clear, prioritized roadmap, and be accountable for delivering it.
  • Lead flagship initiatives end-to-end, taking ambitious product bets from ambiguous concept to shipped, adopted product.
  • Work directly with customers through calls, onsites, and betas to understand their measurement problems firsthand and translate that understanding into product decisions.
  • Drive AI into the core of the product, championing how AI reshapes marketing measurement and shipping AI capabilities that create real customer value.
  • Manage and elevate a small team of very senior PMs, setting a high bar, giving sharp feedback, and creating conditions for them to do their best work.
  • Partner deeply with design leadership to ensure shipped products are not only powerful but also great to use.
  • Own product quality by defining and running the user acceptance testing process.
  • Run rigorous product development sprints, setting processes for scoping MVPs, prioritizing stories, defining roll-out plans, and testing before launch.
  • Equip go-to-market teams (Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) with playbooks, messaging, release details, and troubleshooting support.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Customer Success to align the organization behind the roadmap and ensure honest execution.
