Head of Product Marketing

Conveo.aiNew York, NY
$130,000 - $160,000

About The Position

Conveo is building an AI-powered consumer understanding infrastructure platform that enables fast, affordable, and high-quality consumer/B2B research. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and Orange use our AI video interviewer to generate insights across marketing, product, and research teams. This role is critical as positioning sits upstream of everything a company says. The words chosen for a segment decide which ads work, which pages convert, which deals open, and which category the market files us under. At most companies, this thinking is scattered across founders, sales decks, and agencies. Here, it has one owner: you. Conveo is transitioning from a tool to an infrastructure, and founding a category to do it. Categories are won inside the buyer's head, making the person who truly understands those buyers, and can tell their story back to them better than they can tell it themselves, one of the highest-leverage people in the company. What you write becomes what sales says, what the website claims, what the ads promise, and eventually what the market believes. This is a whole-company seat. You are the resident empath for everyone who buys Conveo, from the insights leader who runs the platform to the CMO who signs for the infrastructure. Product asks you how a feature should be framed. Sales asks you what to say in the room. Founders ask you whether the narrative holds. When someone anywhere in the company needs to know what our buyers think, want, fear, or say, they come to you, and you know.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product marketing at a B2B software company.
  • At least one positioning exercise run end to end and defensible cut by cut.
  • Buyer empathy with receipts: ability to quote buyers verbatim and show what changed in copy because of their input.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills (short, dense, specific copy; headlines that carry the story).
  • Fluency in positioning frameworks and process, combined with clear taste for copy and narrative.
  • Ability to take work all the way to a live landing page personally and be comfortable being measured on conversion.
  • AI native in actual production workflow, in practice rather than theory.
  • Evidence of ability to hold a strategic line against internal pressure, including from founders.
  • High agency, low ego mindset.
  • Allergic to filler; preference for shipping sharp lines over beautiful decks.
  • Genuinely curious about consumers, buyers, and decision-making processes in big companies.
  • A storyteller by instinct, reaching for narrative before feature lists.

Nice To Haves

  • Market research, insights, or data infrastructure background.
  • Category creation experience, or experience witnessing category creation attempts.
  • Analyst relations exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our buyers better than anyone in the company by running positioning exercises (interviews, win/loss reviews, segmentation work) and gathering information from sales calls, transcripts, closed/churned deals, communities, analysts, and the product itself.
  • Become an absolute empath for every buyer, understanding their world, pressures, and language, and speaking it fluently.
  • Keep the buyer map current so the company's picture of who it serves is always the real one.
  • Turn understanding into positioning and narrative, demonstrating fluency in frameworks, steps, and deliverables (positioning documents, messaging hierarchies, proof points).
  • Craft compelling copy that is short, dense, and specific, and develop a genuinely compelling narrative.
  • Take ideas from insight to live page yourself, using AI in every step of the workflow, from positioning documents to landing pages (hero, story, proof, call to action).
  • Build with AI as a genuine collaborator for research synthesis, drafting, variant production, and page assembly.
  • Teach the AI agents how to create leverage for everyone from Sales to Customer Success.
  • Own launches from narrative through enablement to measured pipeline, and ship the derivative pack so one piece of thinking becomes a month of distribution.
  • Write internal artifacts that get used, such as the one-pager, objection handling, demo narrative, and competitive angle.
  • Drive conversion from top of funnel to bottom by understanding what moves a buyer from first touch to signed and being creative about mechanisms at every stage.
  • Adapt messaging to where the buyer stands, making the top of the funnel feel something and the bottom of the funnel act on it.
  • Measure what you ship, reading the numbers for pages, launches, and campaigns.
  • Close the loop from deal outcomes back into the message that produced them, so the story gets sharper every quarter.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with equity.
  • Quarterly team offsites for team building and fun.
  • Direct access to founders and a single approver for marketing.
  • Opportunity to own how a category is told and have your narrative become the market reference.
  • Work with AI agents that draft, produce, and publish daily, with your positioning as the source of truth.
  • Hyper-growth environment, YC-backed, with a Series A closing.
