About The Position

Melotech is revolutionizing media and entertainment by creating art through technology. The Head of People will build the recruiting engine to scale Melotech, personally hiring 10-20 exceptional individuals across product, engineering, go-to-market, and creative roles. This role involves owning talent end-to-end, working closely with the founders to establish a scalable hiring machine, build talent pipelines in Europe and the US, and stand up the people function as the company grows. Responsibilities include managing contracts, leveling, performance reviews, compensation, bonuses, and benefits, as well as designing internal systems and workflows for a fast-growing, globally distributed team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment roles with demonstrated strategic impact.
  • Proven track record in high-growth or scale-up environments preferred.
  • Experience as a Recruiter or early people hire at a top-tier, high-growth consumer or AI startup, where you personally scaled the team through early growth.
  • AI-native: you use AI in your own workflow and can credibly recruit for an AI-native company.
  • Comfortable hiring across both Europe and the US, ideally from a remote or internationally distributed team.
  • Possess a real network and a systematic, repeatable process for recruiting.
  • Genuinely passionate about recruiting and want to continue doing it as a craft.
  • Colleagues would describe you as hard-working, ambitious, and persistent.

  • Experience hiring creative talent (video, visual, artists) in addition to engineers and commercial roles.

Responsibilities

  • Owning outbound recruiting from start to finish: sourcing, screening, and running interview loops for technical, commercial, and creative roles.
  • Building a scalable hiring machine with outbound recruiting at its core, expanding into university hiring, hackathons, and referral networks.
  • Acting as the first filter for candidates, ensuring only top talent reaches the founders.
  • Building talent pipelines across Europe and the US.
  • Establishing the people function, including contracts, leveling, performance reviews, compensation, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Designing internal systems and workflows for a fast-growing, globally distributed team.
