Head of People

Mindful Health Solutions
•$210,000 - $260,000

About The Position

Radial recently combined a tech-forward startup with a clinical operator that has nearly two decades of history and more than 20 clinics. The Head of People will lead the people side of that integration and help establish one company, bringing together compensation, benefits, policies, leveling, and HR systems while ensuring clinic teams experience the change as support rather than disruption. The role owns the employee experience, including benefits, culture, and support for teams doing demanding clinical work. It involves building a shared culture that connects clinical rigor with startup speed; developing fair, competitive compensation and benefits; and coordinating support for clinicians with clinical leaders responsible for supervision and clinical practice. The Head of People will lead recruiting across clinician, clinic staff, and corporate roles; own clinician onboarding and credentialing to help new clinicians become licensed, enrolled with payers, and ready to see patients; and build people systems and data that give leadership visibility into headcount, attrition, and engagement. The role also maintains compliance across multiple states and Radial’s MSO structure. The company emphasizes patient-centered work, urgency balanced with care, written decision-making, openness to changing one’s mind, and ownership of problems across team boundaries.

Requirements

  • Experience merging two cultures and the ability to discuss lessons learned.
  • A willingness to visit clinics and understand issues firsthand before developing solutions.
  • A preference for fixing broken processes rather than simply writing policies around them.
  • Ability to explain compensation decisions to clinicians and finance leaders in a way they consider fair.
  • Experience working with licensed workforces or the ability to learn quickly how to recruit, retain, and manage clinicians.
  • Daily use of AI and experience rebuilding real HR work with it, such as policy drafting, answering benefits questions, or automating onboarding.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment.
  • Experience designing clinician compensation models.
  • Experience in behavioral health or specialty outpatient care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead people integration across the two organizations, bringing compensation, benefits, policies, leveling, and HR systems onto one foundation.
  • Build a unified culture that combines clinical rigor with startup speed and connects every clinic to the mission.
  • Own benefits and compensation, with a philosophy designed to compete for psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and technology talent.
  • Design support for high-acuity work, including mental health resources, benefits, workload, scheduling, and career paths, in coordination with clinical leaders.
  • Run recruiting for clinicians, clinic staff, and corporate roles.
  • Own clinician onboarding and credentialing so new clinicians are licensed, enrolled with payers, and seeing patients quickly.
  • Build people systems and data that provide leadership with visibility into headcount, attrition, and engagement.
  • Maintain compliance across multiple states and the company’s MSO structure.
