About the position
The job overview for this position is that Ask Media Group is seeking a hands-on leader to support and motivate their search marketers in order to achieve new levels of success. The role involves driving performance and profits for a team of media buyers, managing monthly P&L, developing a roadmap for scaling spend and volume, and making data-driven decisions to prioritize strategy and identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in online sales strategies, team management, and leveraging automated bidding strategies, as well as possess current search marketing certifications and advanced Excel and SQL skills.
Responsibilities
- Drive performance and profits of a team of media buyers who acquire traffic for vertical-centric search websites
- Review daily reports, identify potential challenges or areas of opportunity, and provide actionable insights and tactics to increase profits on a daily basis
- Manage monthly P&L with the goal of increasing monthly ad spend and ROAS
- Develop a roadmap for scaling spend and volume, incorporating competitive analysis and market size opportunity
- Operate with a sales/performance centric mindset as a large portion of compensation will be based on team's performance
- Make data-driven decisions to prioritize strategy and identify growth opportunities for the business
- Launch and/or grow online sales strategies
- Work in roles where financial performance is paramount and rewarded
- Build and manage teams of 10 or more
- Leverage automated bidding strategies across search networks
- Possess current search marketing certifications (i.e. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads)
- Have advanced Excel and SQL skills
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience launching and/or growing online sales strategies
- Extensive experience in roles where financial performance is paramount and rewarded
- Proven success in building and managing teams of 10 or more
- Expertise in leveraging automated bidding strategies across search networks
- Current search marketing certifications (i.e. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads)
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
