About The Position

Circular Services is a leading developer and operator of circular economy infrastructure and services and the largest private recycling company in the U.S. with operations across the country. We help businesses and municipalities reduce and divert waste, lowering disposal costs and fueling local supply chains by ensuring materials are recovered, recycled, and reused. We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of National Sales to lead our sales efforts and drive significant growth with commercial accounts across the US. This critical role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for developing and executing our national sales strategy and ensuring we meet and exceed our ambitious sales targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader and implementor who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building high-performing sales organizations. While New York City, Texas, or Florida are our preferred locations, we are open to discussing other arrangements for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience leading and managing sales teams, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide them to achieve exceptional results.
  • Experience within the waste, recycling, or similar services sectors.
  • A strong preference for a hands-on leadership style, someone who is comfortable with direct involvement in sales processes and execution.
  • Ability to travel 3-4 days per week to engage with clients, support the sales team, and attend industry events.
  • Demonstrated comfort and experience with running or contributing to a P&L.
  • Proven ability to create and present custom solutions that address specific client challenges.
  • Comfort with financial modeling and/or business case development.
  • Experience with negotiating and closing value-based deals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine the national sales strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and in-market processing capabilities.
  • Create detailed execution plans to achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Develop and grow a network of service provider partnerships across the country that can execute nationally scoped service opportunities in all 50 states.
  • Regularly report to the leadership team on sales progress against targets, key performance indicators, and market trends.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing national sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and success.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Be comfortable with and contribute to the management of the sales P&L, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial drivers.
