About The Position

Transamerica Asset Management (TAM) is seeking a Head of Marketing to join their senior leadership team in Denver, CO. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office and two days remote, reporting directly to the Head of TAM. The Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns designed to drive awareness and sales of the company's products and services. The role is also responsible for increasing engagement with financial professionals through product marketing initiatives, strengthening brand affinity, and supporting the successful launch of new products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or equivalent experience.
  • Ten years of marketing communications, digital marketing, or project management experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Eight years of management experience.
  • Broad experience developing and executing marketing strategies for complex projects.
  • Thorough understanding of the investment products marketplace and distribution process, including how products are priced, packaged and positioned across various channels.
  • Technical acumen to design campaigns that optimize the use of traditional and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to interpret data and articulate results to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills to identify/prioritize critical issues and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediary or institutional experience.
  • Familiarity with content management, workflow and other marketing tools such as CMD, CRM, DAM, Workflow, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront.
  • Experience in change management.
  • FINRA Series 7 (for roles supporting mutual funds).

Responsibilities

  • Lead channel marketing teams who support the business and have a key role influencing and shaping the future of the channel.
  • Represent the audience’s needs, align plans to the brand direction, and understand competitive dynamics to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales channel partners to develop strategic short and long term marketing strategies and plans that address current and future revenue objectives.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Evaluate and adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Set priorities and manage through people and processes; leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Execute multiple high impact initiatives to achieve sales channel goals.
  • Partner with teams in Product Development, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to drive and build the company brand, sales profitability, and customer excellence.
  • Work with Sales leadership to ensure internal sales team has the tools, training, and incentives needed to effectively sell products and services.
  • Own the product launch/release plan and implementation management for new product introductions.
  • Develop strong customer relationships to become the organization’s expert in customer needs and opportunities.
  • Create a positive and performance-driven culture, building repeatable processes to deliver results and coach sales and marketing professionals.
