About The Position

Peerbound is seeking a pipeline-focused marketing leader to join their team. This role is crucial for scaling the company's predictable growth. The Head of Marketing will be the first marketing hire and will be responsible for owning marketing end-to-end, driving net-new pipeline, and setting the standard for technology vendor go-to-market strategies. The position reports to the CEO and will collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams across demand generation, content, product marketing, and brand. The company is an NYC-based startup with a strong product-market fit, serving leading B2B SaaS companies. They have a rare opportunity to disrupt multiple software categories and are backed by experienced investors. The ideal candidate will be AI-native, have a proven track record in B2B SaaS marketing with a focus on demand generation and building functions from scratch, and be obsessed with results measured in pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Strong demand generation track record.
  • Meaningful experience at a startup or high-growth company where you built the function, not just optimized an existing one.
  • Proven ability to generate real pipeline that turned into real revenue, with demonstrable numbers.
  • Ability to design a campaign, write copy, set up automation, analyze results, and iterate.
  • Understanding of positioning, competitive dynamics, and narrative strategy at a high level.
  • Ability to hold conversations about market categories and buyer psychology.
  • Understanding of how marketing strategy connects to sales outcomes.
  • Obsessed with results and allergic to vanity metrics; measured in pipeline, not impressions.
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and energized by the challenge of doing a lot with a little.
  • AI-native in how you work, utilizing AI tools for productivity and innovation.

  • Ability to scale marketing efforts by hiring and managing a small team (1-2 people) as success is proven.

Responsibilities

  • Own marketing at Peerbound end to end.
  • Drive net-new pipeline and set the standard for technology vendor go-to-market strategies.
  • Build the demand generation engine by designing and executing multi-channel campaigns (paid, organic, email, events, partnerships, ABM).
  • Own events and community building to establish Peerbound as the center of gravity for customer marketing leaders.
  • Create content that drives pipeline, including case studies, customer stories, competitive comparisons, and thought leadership.
  • Ensure Sales wins by understanding messaging that lands in live deals and building campaigns to support outbound efforts.
  • Close the loop between marketing spend and closed revenue.
  • Be strategic about positioning and competitive dynamics, proactively identifying market shifts and evolving messaging needs.
  • Use AI tools to move faster, produce more, and test ideas.
