Head of Marketing Analytics and Operations

AdvancedMDSouth Jordan, UT
Hybrid

About The Position

AdvancedMD is seeking a data-driven leader to build and own the marketing analytics, measurement frameworks, marketing technology stack, and operational infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in making marketing a growth engine for both established sales-led and new product-led offerings. The Head of Marketing Analytics & Operations will partner closely with the CMO and company-level data teams to translate marketing strategy into actionable insights, enable teams with the right tooling, and scale operations through automation. This is a hands-on builder role with the autonomy to reimagine the function from the ground up, leading a lean team and playing a key part in the analytical work.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience spanning marketing analytics, marketing/revenue operations, or a closely related discipline, with a focus on analytics and insights.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for executive audiences.
  • Hands-on analytical depth: comfortable working directly with data, building models and dashboards, and forming defensible points of view.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and rebuilding a marketing technology stack.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation and revenue systems (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, NetSuite, or comparable platforms) and modern attribution approaches.
  • Familiarity with both sales-led and product-led measurement, including product analytics tools and PLG metrics, or strong fluency and willingness to build it.
  • A builder's mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, fragmented starting conditions, and standing up a function from the ground up.

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting or analytics background that combines analytical rigor with executive communication.
  • Proven ability to walk into a room with a point of view on data meaning and recommended actions, and defend it.
  • Experience rebuilding a marketing technology stack from the ground up.
  • Ability to sit across from a CMO or CEO with messy, conflicting datasets and turn them into a clear, confident narrative through personal effort.
  • Comfort in a SQL editor or BI tool as well as in boardroom presentations, with outputs reflecting the same rigor.
  • Understanding of both sales-led and product-led measurement models and ability to build unified growth frameworks.
  • Patience for building: energized by ambiguity, fragmented starting conditions, and standing something up from scratch.
  • Experience in an environment where analytical rigor and executive communication were integrated skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the analytical partner to the CMO and marketing leadership, translating business questions into analyses and recommendations.
  • Build executive-facing marketing narratives through dashboards, reporting, and synthesis for leadership, the CEO, and the board.
  • Establish measurement frameworks for sales-led and product-led motions, including pipeline contribution, multi-touch attribution, and product-led metrics (activation, trial-to-paid conversion).
  • Provide an independent, data-grounded point of view, challenging assumptions when data indicates otherwise.
  • Partner with company-level data and analytics resources to ensure marketing data access and integrity.
  • Own the evaluation and rebuild of the marketing technology stack, leading the execution of the roadmap.
  • Establish reliable data flows, integrations, and attribution infrastructure across marketing and revenue systems.
  • Own marketing automation, lead management, campaign operations, and the operational backbone for both motions.
  • Design and maintain governance, naming conventions, and data hygiene practices for the marketing technology stack.
  • Oversee the build-out of AI-enabled and automated workflows to enhance team leverage.
  • Partner with functional teams to identify and automate high-effort, low-value workflows.
  • Champion the responsible adoption of AI tooling across the marketing function.
  • Lead and develop a Marketing Insights Analyst and an AI / Growth Engineer.
  • Build a marketing analytics function known for rigor, clarity, and trusted answers.
