The Head of Infrastructure Standards & Operational Management is a senior technology leader responsible for establishing the standards, governance, programs, asset discipline, and financial transparency needed to support a scalable, resilient, and cost-effective global infrastructure environment. The role leads Infrastructure Standards and Architecture Practices, Forward Deployed Engineering, Program and Project Management, Asset and Lifecycle Management, and FinOps/Technology Economics. The leader partners with Infrastructure Engineering, Technology Operations, Product and CTO organizations, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, Finance, Procurement, and strategic suppliers. Responsibilities include managing infrastructure standards as versioned products with owners, reusable automation, measurable adoption, lifecycle management, and feedback loops; establishing an Engineering Challenge Review for material architecture decisions, standards, and exceptions; and ensuring Forward Deployed Engineering engagements have defined ownership, baselines, outcomes, acceptance criteria, knowledge transfer, reusable deliverables, and operational owners. The role establishes retirement discipline for displaced infrastructure, software, support models, and associated costs. It produces decision-ready evidence using governed definitions, accountable owners, reliable sources, baselines, targets, and regular review cadences. Accountability boundaries are maintained: Engineering owns platform and modernization outcomes; Technology Operations owns operational command and service assurance; Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, Finance, and Procurement retain their enterprise authorities; and critical internal controls remain internal even when suppliers execute work.
